Anna is a collaborative theatre director and writer originally from the Highlands. She graduated with an MA in Drama Directing from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2024, directing a successful production of Black Mountain by Brad Birch at the Wardrobe Theatre. Whilst studying in Bristol, Anna directed two new plays, Scratchings and Us (and all The Other Sh*T) at the Alma Theatre.

In 2026 she revived Simon Longman’s 2018 play Island Town at the Tron Theatre, transferring to Assembly Roxy.

Her Assistant Director credits include: Mayflies (Grid Iron), Man’s Best Friend (Tron Theatre), Tiger Country (BOTVS), Love the Sinner (Vanishing Point), And… And… And… (Strange Town Touring Company), BABS and The Silver Superheroes (A Play, A Pie and A Pint). 

She has a 1st class honours degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Edinburgh; writing and textual development continue to form a large part of her work. She was a supported writer on the textLAB programme run by Scottish Youth Theatre and Playwrights' Studio Scotland in 2022, and received Eden Court’s 2025 Artist Residency development fund. She is currently developing work with Dogstar Theatre and Lyth Arts. 

Anna has also produced several award-winning short films and works as a facilitator in youth theatre.
